NATURE JOURNAL
One of my favorite environmental science graduate course assignments was to “go out and sit in your yard or the woods and write down everything you see and hear for 30 minutes” - it was fascinating as well as very relaxing.
My husband gave me a wildlife camera and having two wonderful windows to observe the birds at our feeders, the geese on the lake, the squirrels managing to outwit the baffles, and other wildlife antics – I began to journal and photograph my observations. This was not something that I made myself do — it was something that I just had to do!
The following images give you a close-up of my observation deck (master bedroom windows), equipment, and sample pages from my journal. I will also photograph and include images of our outdoor weather station.
I met you at the DCBU picnic, and I hope to attend a future Nature House jam. Thanks for the card referencing your website. I enjoyed looking through it, and I’ll try to return to it often. Regards.
